ACA Response to Emissions Green Paper
The Australian Coal Association today welcomed the release of the government’s proposed framework for dealing with greenhouse gas emissions but expressed concern at elements of the proposal related to fugitive emissions from the mining of coal. ACA Executive Director, Mr Ralph Hillman, said that the Government’s green paper provided industry and the general public with a detailed framework for debate on the best possible mechanisms for reducing Australia’s greenhouse emissions at least cost.
